But please stay in the other forum where you can get the proper attention you seem to think you cannot get here. New version of AVR Software Framework (ASF) Availability and installation of new ASF versions through extension manager, without having to upgrade. If you choose to stay where you are, then enjoy the PIC. If you are still tying to use Studio 5.1 after the numerous threads about the bugs in it I would suggest updating to AS7 and see the improvements. As noted Atmel was purchased by Microchip and now we are all one big happy family. Odd, you have a thread back in 2015, which you opened with a rather nasty shot at Atmel, now you do it here after almost three years. This is example code built in AVR Studio 5.1 for the new RFDigital.

I have been with Atmel for many years, but all things change. This is an AVR ATtiny, V-USB based implementation of an USB interface for split core. I am now studying Pic chips that will meet my needs, and probably be easier to develop with. I never thought I would be removing Atmel AVR tools, and changing to PIC, but after the problems I had at the web site, which used to be Atmel archive's site, and writing to them about the problems, logging in, and getting studio 5.1, then receiving no response from them, I feel that the company cares nothing about developers anymore.
